The Meteorological Department has forecasted an acceleration of the monsoon in several districts of West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh, indicating the likelihood of heavy rains.
This news comes as a relief for farmers who have faced delays in paddy transplantation due to the late arrival of monsoon.
Although intermittent rainfall has been observed in parts of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Bengal, the Meteorological Department expects the intensity of rain to increase in the coming days. In West Bengal, heavy to very heavy rainfall has been predicted for the next four days in districts including Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, and Cooch Behar.
In Uttar Pradesh, heavy rainfall has been recorded in various districts, with the Meteorological Department forecasting continued heavy rains until July 14. Western Uttar Pradesh has received more rainfall compared to the eastern parts of the state. There are also chances of lightning in many areas.
Similarly, Bihar is expected to experience an upsurge in rainfall, particularly in districts such as Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia, and Katihar. Heavy rains are anticipated for the next few days, and lightning is also possible in certain regions.
Furthermore, there are predictions of heavy rainfall in several states across North India, including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh for the next few days.
